Walter Elias

Q: What’s your full name?
A: Walter Elias

Q: Tell us about yourself.
A: I get called “mostly good” by my human. I enjoy couch time just as much as the next pup, but I sure do like to leap from my slumber to ward off passersby, delivery people and the occasional plastic bag. My human keeps reminding me that we live on a public street, but I don’t understand what she means.

Q: What’s your favorite vacation spot?
A: Allen’s Pet Resort! Mom drops me off there occasionally and I sure love it. They treat me well. Four of five stars, would highly recommend. I’ll give a fifth star when they stop giving me a bath on departure day every time.

Q: And when you get to go along?
A: I’m a big fan of sidecar vibe. Head out the car window, ears flapping, tongue dangling. There is no better feeling than the wind in my fur. Well, besides napping. Napping feels pretty good.

Q: Your best play spot?
A: Definitely the walnut orchard in Linden. There’s always something to chase or roll around in. I could do without the hose down upon my return to city life, but that’s the price I pay for the part-time country life. I’ll take it. I do also enjoy a stroll around UOP on the daily. Have yet to find Powercat, though I’m always on a #TigerHunt.

Q: We all have guilty pleasures; what’s yours?
A: STICKS! OMG, there are so many out there; I’ll eat ‘em all.

Q: Are you ever a naughty pup?
A: I once followed a human cousin all the way to school. Everyone was so excited to see me gallop around the playground. So. Much. Shouting! That was a fun day. You should try it sometime.

Q: What’s your canine obsession?
A: The ChuckIt. Mom can really send the ball with that thing! I’ll catch it on the fly one of these days. I just know it.

Q: What’s your favorite treat?
A: Dutch Bros Pup Cup FTW! Provolone cheese is a close second.

Q: Where do you go for pampering?
A: Like I said before, I really like the Linden orchard mud baths. If I have an exceptionally fragrant dip in the murk, then a follow-up bath at Allen’s seems to get me back in the house.

Q: What else should we know about you?
A: I’m bilingual. When mom says “Andiamo,” I know that means “run to the car and jump in as fast as you can.”

Q: Where were you born?
A: I was born near a walnut orchard in Linden in February 2014. This must be why I like the orchard mud and tree branches so much. As an Aquarius I have been called advanced, self-reliant, clever, exceptional and optimistic.

Q: Who is your human parent?
A: I call her Ma. Humans call her Karen. I think she is a good one, though.  She treats me well and lets me up on the couch.
