Octavio’s: A Fresh Look at Traditional Mexican Cuisine

By  0 Comments

Tucked away in a corner at Marina Center is a neighborhood favorite, Octavio’s. It’s named for the young owner, Octavio Cruces, who has created a family-friendly destination where all can enjoy delicious, traditional Mexican food in a welcoming and fun environment. Whether you enjoy your lunch or dinner in the spacious dining room, at the bar, the private banquet room or the outdoor patio, Octavio’s is the perfect place to gather, relax and unwind, and you’re sure to run into an old family friend or neighbor!

The extensive menu is traditional yet several unique originals, such as Mayan Tacos, can be found only at Octavio’s. From the ample serving of chips and salsa to the sizzling grilled shrimp fajitas, the editor’s favorite, the options for building your own burrito bowls, highly popular right now, and a side of their fresh guacamole are a must. Visiting Octavio’s is a dining experience you and your taste buds will enjoy as you partake of the variety on the menu. So, become a familiar face at a local favorite; just show up, find a table and let Octavio’s take care of the rest!

In addition to the great food, Octavio, a Lincoln High graduate, is just a really, nice guy. If he is not behind the beautiful bar creating fresh-squeezed margaritas and serving Octavio’s own private label, Cerveza Rubia, or in the kitchen cooking your meal, you will find him walking table to table, greeting each guest. He and his wife, Carissa, who have two daughters, are actively involved in the community and their church. They generously give back to many non-profit organizations and support educational and sports programs at our local schools.
