Billy and Cooper: It’s a Retriever’s Life!

By  0 Comments

HLM: What’s your full name?
A: Billy, and this is my friend Cooper, the yellow Lab.

HLM: Tell us about yourself.
A: We are both pretty chill when just hanging around the ranch, but take us hunting and we are full throttle; nothing will deny us!

HLM: What’s your favorite vacation spot?
A: Wherever my dad goes is where I love to go, especially if it means retrieving! Sometimes Cooper gets to come along!

HLM: And when you get to go with him?
A: Retrieving is my all-time favorite sport. On land or water! Fast. Really, really fast, as many times as I can go! Cooper likes this too, but probably not as much as me.

HLM: Your best play spot?
A: Definitely both Cooper and I LOVE to hang out in the duck or goose blinds. We stare into the sky with great anticipation in search of birds.

HLM: We all have guilty pleasures; what’s yours?
A: There’s nothing better than jumping up on my dad’s lap so he can pet me. Coop and I don’t both fit, so, too bad for Cooper.

HLM: Where do you go for pampering?
A: I am not sure about Cooper, (we haven’t discussed that pampering thing) but I am really not high maintenance. If Dad rubs my face, that is good enough for me.

HLM: Are you ever a naughty pup?
A: Oh, certainly, I chewed up the hose! I am trying to teach Coop how to play tug-a-war with it. I am sure we will both get into a bit of trouble.

HLM: What’s your canine obsession?
A: No surprise that both Cooper and I are totally obsessed with retrieving. I think it’s in our DNA.

HLM: What’s your favorite treat?
A: My dad brings me these DELICIOUS wild animal bones. So savory, and the vegetables that are left over when he makes stock. Yum. I don’t really share this stuff with anyone.

HLM: What else should we know about you?
A: No weather is too cold, no water too icy, nothing will stop me from doing my job.

HLM: Where were you born?
A: I was born in Oakdale, California

HLM:. Who is your human parent?
A: Mark Grupe
