Chase Garner: Bicycle Repair Entrepreneur

By  0 Comments

Chase Garner has lived most of his life in Stockton, California, with a couple of periods of residence in Modesto and Stockton, California. He’s a 17-year-old senior at Lodi Academy, a school he has attended since kindergarten. He plans to attend Delta College in the fall.

His business has a catchy name, Chase Me Bicycle Repair. “I started my bicycle repair business when I found that I enjoyed working on my own bike. I then bought a bike for my sister, worked on it and then decided to work on others, Chase explained. “I experimented and learned by trial and error.”

The money he earns is expended as an entrepreneur and savvy saver. “Half of the money I make goes into a savings account for emergencies,” he smiled. “The other half gets reinvested into the business as well as needs and wants. The savings account is the reason I was able to buy my own truck at 16 years old!”

When asked how this opportunity to serve has changed his life, he replied, “It showed me that God gives us gifts and we should use those gifts to the best of our abilities. It also showed me how appreciative people can be when you have certain skills that are valuable. I am very thankful that I can help people and make a difference.”

As for the future, Chase has a definite plan. “I want to be a police officer like my dad, to make a difference in my community by serving and protecting. I also hope to keep helping people with their bike repair needs and to teach my future kids.
