Shop Small This Holiday Season

By  0 Comments

How is it possible that December is already here? The holiday season is upon us and while 2020 will for sure go down as the weirdest year to date, the holiday show must go on! The lights, the trees and, of course, the season of giving! In years past, I haven’t been very strategic about my holiday shopping, sometimes waiting until the last minute to find that perfect gift. This year is going to be different!

2020 has been a difficult year, especially for small retail business owners here in Kansas City. These people work diligently to create unique offerings for the people of our city. And now that the giving season is here, it’s time to show our appreciation. This holiday season, I am making a commitment to shop local. Instead of quickly adding to cart in my Amazon app, I am going to choose special pieces and experiences from the people in our community. I am going to choose quality over quantity and service over fast shipping.

Where to start, you ask? See my cheat sheet for all my favorite local shops and meet some of the faces behind them! All of the small business owners listed below are women that I have had the pleasure of working with over the years. I respect each and every one of them and they all have amazing taste! Shop small, support local and help me keep our local businesses alive!
