Winter Fashion in the Time of COVID

By  0 Comments

Winter will soon be upon us! And with all social activities moved outside for the time being, I’m going to make sure I am dressed to impress this upcoming season! Typically, this season is about making sure we have all the jeans and sweaters to stay cozy inside. But this year, it is all about the coat! With fashion weeks around the world changing with the times, runways and spectators alike were showcasing more outerwear than ever. Make sure you have your outerwear wardrobe in place so that you can be prepared for every outdoor occasion that may come up! Gone are the days of your coat as an afterthought. Think of your coat as part of your entire look. This season, go ahead and make a statement.

Quilted and Puffer Coat
Look a little sportier and stay super warm with a quilted or puffer coat this season. Make sure you have this style, seen in a variety of colors and patterns. I would recommend a waist-length puffer coat in a fun color and a longer, mid- to ankle-length, quilted coat for sophisticated leisure activities.

The Statement Trench
I will always say that a classic tan trench coat is a good piece to have in your wardrobe, but take it one step further and play with color and texture. This piece will elevate any look, with brightly colored trenches, exotic prints and the big trend of leather. Wear it open as a third piece or tied up to cinch in that waist.

Checker and Heritage Print Overcoat
Yes, a great black overcoat is a wonderful, classic piece to have. However, this season it is all about the printed overcoat. This style will add texture and depth to your entire look. If you love following the trends, a double-breasted boxy style might be for you. If you still prefer that polished, fitted style, go with single breasted or a tie-belt style.

Outerwear Accessories
Don’t forget the importance of winter accessories! Leather gloves in fun colors, scarves made from luxurious cashmere and even a wool beret will certainly help make a statement in your outerwear wardrobe.
