Tyler & Tim

Tyler Louise Widom, 26, met her handsome fiancé, Tim Mercer, 34, in July 2012. Both worked at ServiceLink, a division of Fidelity National Financial, a real estate title insurance company.

“We became close friends over time,” shares Tyler. “Tim helped me through some very difficult times and was a huge supporter through these times of struggle. He introduced me to electronic dance music and we found we had a lot in common, and we became best friends. In October and November of 2013 we both were transferred to my home town, Broomfield, Colorado, where later we started dating!”

Tim’s proposal on November 27, 2014, Thanksgiving Day, was a true family effort. After the family finished dinner that day, the family convinced Tyler to leave the house on the pretext of running an errand. Tim had bought ten dozen red roses, and he placed them on the front porch, with rose petals extending down the driveway. When Tyler returned, she was shocked to see him standing on the porch surrounded by roses and holding a rose bouquet. “Tim made his speech and got on bended knee,” she smiles. “Of course, I said ‘Yes,’ but not before asking him, ‘Are you proposing?’ I was completely thrilled!”

Tyler and Tim have set their wedding date for May 29, 2016, and are planning a vintage style wedding at Villa Parker in Parker, Colorado. “We love pastel pink and light gray colors with a touch of Tiffany blue. And, of course, our sevenpound longhaired dachshund baby boy will be the center of attention as our ring bearer. We have already booked Elite DJ due to our love for music, since they’re specialists with electronic dance music.

“We’re very excited to have family and friends coming from out of town. More than half of our guests will be arriving from across the country to share our special day with us. Plus, we’re looking forward to our Vegas bachelor and bachelorette parties!” HLM
