Brooke & Christopher

Breaking bread together has many meanings in our lives, and for Brooke Alexandra Borer and Christopher Thomas Midanier, it has come to have the sweetest meaning of all.

Brooke and Chris met as they worked at Panera Bread in Westminster, making sandwiches and baking bread. Brooke, 24, is a full-time hairstylist working in Boulder, Colorado, and Christopher, 26, is a full-time employee at Costco and a part-time student at Metro pursuing a business degree.

For his proposal on November 1, 2015, Chris planned an afternoon trip to Flagstaff, Colorado, where the couple wanted to take a walk down the trail and watch the sunset. “About 15 minutes into our chilly walk through the mountains, he slowly stopped me,” smiles Brooke. “He grabbed my hand, turned me around and got down on his knee and asked me to be his wife. With the sun setting in the background and the love of my life holding my hand, I
couldn’t help but exclaim ‘Yes!’”

Brooke and Chris have set their wedding day for June 17, 2017, in Broomfield, Colorado. “We’re going to have a gigantic party to celebrate our love and marriage!” Brooke shares. “We are looking forward to having our closest friends and family present for our special day! Our wedding ceremony will be at the Broomfield United Methodist Church, where Chris’ parents were married 30 years ago, and the reception will be at The Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield. Family and friends will be traveling in from all over the U.S. and a few coming from Thailand!”

Some particularly special plans include a photo booth and a great slide show of Brooke and Chris growing up. “We also will be having a same-day edit made for us by our videographer,” notes Brooke. “It will be unusual; the day of the wedding will be shown at our wedding! We will have outdoor games during cocktail hour, great food, dancing and laughter. We’re also looking forward to having our two sweet doggies be a part of our big day! Nala and Hazel are
excited to see their Mommy and Daddy tie the knot!” HLM
