Eating Disorder Foundation Fundraiser

By  0 Comments

On Saturday, March 14, EDF celebrated its third annual fundraiser, Icebreaker– Breaking the Silence, in The Pinnacle Club at The Grand Hyatt Hotel in Denver. “i.c.e.” is EDF’s trademarked symbol of hope and recovery, representing the mantra “I can eat.” Guests were treated to a memorable evening that included a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, seated dinner and dancing, and an award ceremony in which Karen Imber received the foundation’s Orly Award for her outstanding service as EDF volunteer of the year. The award is named for EDF board secretary Sue Feld’s 18-year-old daughter Orly, who lost her battle with an eating disorder in 2007. The gala raised nearly $170,000 for the foundation.
