Tied the Knot: September 28, 2019

Anna Alexandria (Alex) Greenwood, 26, earned a BA in Sport Management from Columbia College. She currently words at Link Realty, where she is a marketing and listing coordinator. 

Christopher (Chris) Michael White, 26, works as a project and sales manager at Hemco in Blue Springs. He and Alex live in Blue Springs, Missouri.

Alex and Chris worked at Synergy Sports and met while playing with a bunch of little kids. “We both were attracted to each other and found it easy to get along with everything we had in common,” she smiles.

Chris proposed at Thanksgiving dinner with both of their families present. “It’s tradition to go around the table and say one thing we’re thankful for,” Alex describes the scent. “Chris was the last to go and he proposed in front of everyone!”

The blissful couple tied the knot September 28, 2019. Alex’s Maid of Honor was her sister, Chandler Greenwood; bridesmaids were Amanda Caldwell, Emily Holt and Michelle White. With Chris as Best Man was Brandon Kiley; groomsmen were Austin Schwent, Ryan Smith and Cooper Greenwood.

“Our wedding day was so fun!” shares Alex. “We were surprised with the most beautiful reception decor we could ever have imagined. It was also one of the last memories with Chris’ dad before he passed away and it was so special to see him walk down the aisle and be there to support us. Also special is that I wore a bracelet from my grandmother, Mema, that was made from a necklace that my grandfather, Poppy, gave her for one of  their anniversaries.

“Everything, from the geese flying over the ceremony as if it were timed to Loose Loose getting everyone on the dance floor to the amazing fireworks to end the night, was absolutely amazing!”

Alex and Chris spent a magical honeymoon in Kauai, Hawaii. ■
