Empowered Fitness Fashion

By  0 Comments

I stood over my drawer of workout clothes and realized it was full of black and baggy pants to try to hide my thighs, tattered and worn sports bras left over from years ago, and flowy tops. Many items I had already tried on, thrown off and scattered around my room, just not feeling ready to take on a workout in any of them! I stood there, near tears, thinking, “I just won’t work out. I don’t feel good in any of this, so I’ll just skip today. I have nothing to wear.”

How many times have we all been here, thinking the same thing?

Then, something clicked in me. I am about to crush a workout, to do something that makes me feel empowered, relieves my stress and makes me feel like a woman ready to take on anything life throws at her today. My outfit selection should fit this occasion; it’s our opportunity to feel like a ninja warrior woman!

Here are the clothes that will make you feel empowered!

Bottoms
The key to great leggings is asking yourself two questions. Will these move with me? Will they stay up when I get my booty moving? If you find some that do those two things, you are golden. Here are my favorites.

• LuLulemon, especially Align and WunderUnder
• Nike Pro leggings
• Fabletics
• Old Navy Elevate compression leggings

Sports Bras
Our girls deserve the very best, so choosing a bra you love may take some time. Each woman is so different based on the style of workout and well, obviously, what the girls need most. Some favorite brands are:

• Nike Indy sports bra
• Under Armour
• Victoria’s Secret
• Fabletics Ella High Support
• Shefit or Lane Bryant is perfect for more support if needed

Headbands
When we’re sweating it out, those pesky hairs in the face can get in the way. I love to grab a cute, comfy, bright headband to top off the perfect outfit for each sweat session. These are my favorite brands that stay on but aren’t too tight.

• The Be Brand
• Maven Thread

You will rock a workout in any of these outfits and be comfortable too!
