Tamara and Karl Richards

Tamara Richards, 27, is a clinical pharmacist in addition to her love of business as an entrepreneur and owner of Posh 27 Boutique LLC, an online enterprise. Tamara is a God-fearing woman who loves fashion, medicine, food, and her handsome new husband!

Karl Antonio Richards Jr, 29, is also a pharmacist, and he’s a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., which develops leadership and promotes education while providing service in the community. Karl’s self-confessed vices are cars and watches.

“Karl and I met during our first year of pharmacy school,” Tamara smiles. “I invited him to my 21st birthday dinner at Mori Japanese Steakhouse, and the rest is history.”

Karl is ever the romantic, and recaptured their first date with his proposal to Tamara. “Karl took me back to Mori Japanese Steakhouse during homecoming and had my favorite hibachi chef take my engagement ring out of his hat during his hibachi trick!” Tamara laughs. “Karl got on one knee and proposed; I was totally shocked and very happy!”

The blissful couple tied the knot on November 16, 2013, at the luxurious banquet hall of SOHO Catering and Events in Hollywood, Florida. “Our wedding was everything we had dreamed of and planned. The reception was perfect, with the lighting effects, the sumptuous array of hors d’oeuvres, the different food stations, including the unusual hibachi station. The photo booth was a big hit; we enjoyed every minute with family and friends, and especially our departure to the light of a multitude of sparklers.”

Karl and Tamara spend a wonderful eight-day honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, at the Couples San Souci Resort. “Couples was very intimate and we were still afforded the opportunity to meet and mingle with other couples. We thoroughly enjoyed our penthouse suite and the massage on a cliff overlooking the sea was amazing! We took part in bobsledding, zip lining and swimming with the dolphins during our adventurous honeymoon. We absolutely will be back to Couples San Souci within the next five years!”
