The Hookup Hunnies are redefining “hooking up” for men and women by providing wisdom, advice, empathy, solace and fun through seminars, travel outings, webinars and social gatherings. Their upcoming two-day event, The Dating Game: Be In It to Win It, is slated for October 11 and 12 in Boca Raton. This conference will feature expert speakers on dating and relationships, building confidence, finding out what you really want, how to go about attracting it and being confident enough to do so.

Karen and Nancy founded their singles community to enable men and women desiring meaningful, long-term, healthy and loving relationships to easily attract their ideal mate. The Dating Game: Be In It to Win It will be their first major event geared toward single women looking to find Mr. Right. The Hookup Hunnies’ intention is for the community to thrive and grow into a membership with adventures and activities so that singles over the age of 35 have a place to meet and mingle with others with the same objectives. “You will have the opportunity for a ‘reality check’ and perhaps just a little shift in thinking, which may be the answer to finding ‘the one,’” noted Karen.

To add a little excitement to the event, those who purchase the VIP upgrade will be eligible to enter a contest to be one of three lucky women in a re-enactment of The Dating Game at the event, plus other VIP benefits including a mix and mingle on Saturday evening where The Hookup Hunnies will provide the men.

The Hookup Hunnies arose from the frustration of these two women, similar in age and values, both single for different reasons; Karen was divorced and looking, and Nancy, never having been married, was still looking for Mr. Right. Tired of hearing from all their single friends that they hated the dating scene, distrustful of the online scene and with plenty of horror stories to tell, a common theme was clear. They wanted a mature, healthy, loving relationship and lasting partnership with a sane, intelligent, age-appropriate, financially stable, authentic and, most of all, available man.

Intersecting regularly for business, Karen and Nancy became friends. Both single, they shared war stories. As they talked, they realized that they had a few things to learn about dating in today’s world and could benefit from some in-person training. Both had experience creating events, and so began to visualize what the perfect dating event would be like. Recognizing that their peers would not be trolling in bars or beaches as they did in their 20s, they considered an event that would include learning and support around the concepts of looking in the right places, attracting the right person, and loving yourself first. An opportunity for participants to test their new skills and meet new people was needed, too; thus, this event was born.

Karen has been nicknamed the Hookup Honey because she’s exceptionally good at connecting people with others or with products or services that would benefit their business through her company, Revenu. Nancy, as a virtual assistant and owner of Virtual Gem, has organizational, logistical and technical skills. The partnership and blending of their skills resulted in The Hookup Hunnies. They plan to hold many events and activities, some educational, some fun, in hope that people looking for the same thing will find each other or learn how to find each other; The Dating Game: Be In It To Win It! is the first for women over 35 wanting to find these answers. It brings together relationship coaches and speakers who will share their expertise on the topics of loving yourself first, attracting the right men and building the confidence to get yourself out there and truly be IN IT.
