Tripp and Kassidy Roy

Tied the Knot: May 1, 2021

Tripp and Kassidy Roy triumphed over a pandemic, as love typically triumphs over all odds.

“After going through a few scenarios of what our wedding day could look like, we decided to take an intimate approach and invite 80 of our closest friends and family members to celebrate our marriage,” Kassidy shares. “Our day was full of love, stress-free and better than anything we had ever dreamed because we really focused on each other and the support system around us.”

After the couple met through mutual friends at a New Year’s Eve concert, their relationship developed and Tripp proposed in July 2020 outside Union Station in Kansas City. Afterwards, they gathered at a nearby restaurant with their parents and a few friends to celebrate.

The blissful couple tied the knot May 1, 2021, with a wedding party of seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen. “They were a mix of high school and college friends and a lot of them were friends with each other, so it was a really close group of people. Many of them were with us on New Year’s Eve on the night that we met!” Kassidy smiles.

“We really cherish our wedding ceremony,” she continues. “It was officiated by a family friend and felt very personal and relevant to our relationship and to our lives. We wrote our own vows, which we never thought we would do, but it added a really intentional promise to our union and I’m so glad we did.”

The couple honeymooned in Maui, Hawaii, a location she had never been, where they could relax after wedding planning and activity.
