Remove Inflammation…Transform your body

By  0 Comments

Most of us have undoubtedly either experienced or at least heard of the symptoms and perils of inflammation in the body. Inflammation is most commonly recognized as pain, swelling and immobility. Perhaps others may associate symptoms such as mouth sores, skin rashes or joint pain with inflammation. What some people don’t know, however, is that not only are the symptoms of inflammation vast, but beyond the symptoms, most doctors and scientists agree that inflammation is actually the root cause of most, if not all, disease. Hot flashes, brain fog, digestive bloating, infertility, insomnia, irritability, skin irritations, weight gain, eczema, migraines and chronic ear infections are among hundreds of other symptoms of inflammation. Inflammation is basically the body’s attempts to either get rid of the harmful things that don’t belong and the body’s attempts to heal itself from injury. This can be a good thing. However, when inflammation lasts more than a few days, it can negatively impact your tissues, organs and your overall health.

Inflammation is caused by an immune response in the body. Whenever the body recognizes something harmful, or whenever damage to your cells occur, your body releases chemicals that trigger a response from your immune system. This can be in response to harmful bacteria or an injury to tissue. This defense mechanism of the body is known as acute inflammation and is generally helpful. When acute inflammation is working in the body’s favor, it can even be tremendously helpful, such as when you sprain an ankle; your body sends a surge of blood flow and, with it, white blood cells to that area, in an attempt for the body to heal and protect itself. This sudden increase of white blood cells to that part of the body cause redness, heating and swelling at the site of the injury, but these also signal that the body is doing its job to try to heal and protect itself.

There are times, however, when inflammation can become chronic. When this acute inflammation doesn’t subside, or when the body is confused and there actually is no foreign pathogen that needs to be attacked, such as is true in an autoimmune disorder, inflammation is no longer serving the body but now bringing pain and problems. Chronic inflammation generally occurs whenever there are pathogens that the body cannot break down, including some types of viruses, foreign bodies that remain in the system or overactive immune responses. In this case, white blood cells that rushed in as an army begin attacking nearby organs and other healthy tissues and are now causing far more harm than they did good. Chronic inflammation can cause weight retention, premature aging, digestive issues, weight gain, migraines, a plethora of diseases such as cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, heart disease, obesity, Crohn’s disease, hepatitis and make the body susceptible
to tuberculosis.

There are many lifestyle choices and other factors that can contribute to inflammation. Among these are smoking, chronic stress, alcohol, prolonged lack of sleep and processed foods as well as a diet high in sugar, trans fats, saturated fats, refined carbohydrates, red meat, gluten and dairy.

Just as there are many things that contribute to the problem of inflammation, there are many things that you can do to reduce inflammation in your body. One of the primary ways is through diet.

As a health coach, one of the first things I advise clients to do is to eliminate all processed foods from their diet. We should consume foods that are as close to their most natural state as possible. This is the food our body most easily recognizes as nutrition, digests and assimilates. This looks like eating mostly fresh fruits and vegetables and being careful and selective with meat consumption. Buy organic whenever possible, as conventional produce often has residue of pesticides and other chemicals used in the growing and farming process, which are known contributors to inflammation. Whenever choosing animal protein, go for wild-caught fish, pasture-raised and grass-finished chicken, beef and eggs. As processed foods are eliminated, refined sugar and trans fatty acid consumption go down, which is very important as well. Sugar causes large fluctuations in blood glucose and insulin levels, which are contributing factors to inflammation. Trans fatty acids are absolutely connected to inflammation as well as other conditions such as cancer. Saturated fats trigger adipose (fat tissue) inflammation, which is not only an indicator for heart disease but it also worsens arthritis inflammation. Other things to consider eliminating from the diet are the most common allergens and inflammatory foods such as gluten and dairy. Many people have an unknown allergy or sensitivity to these foods, and don’t realize how many of their inflammation symptoms are related, until after the foods are eliminated and they begin to notice the positive results.

At MaxLife, we have multiple nutritional programs and technologies that are built around eliminating inflammation in the body. At the very start of any of our weight loss or body balancing programs, our nutritionist performs a BioMax scan that will give the list of foods that are causing inflammation in that individual’s body. Additionally, this BioMax scan will also list the foods that the client’s body is craving or has a biological preference for based upon the nutrient profiles of those foods. This is powerful information that can be used in the battle against inflammation and also unlocks incredible weight loss results.

Another technology available at MaxLife that reduces inflammation in the body is Contour Light. This therapy uses 635-nanometer red light to purge fat from the fat cells, regulate hormone production, stimulate collagen production, smooth cellulite, improve mood, boost immune function and reduce inflammation in the body.

The Cocoon Detox Pod is an infrared sauna that utilizes infrared light to reduce inflammation and improve overall health. It stimulates circulation in order to bring down inflammation throughout the whole body. It reduces muscle inflammation that is related to chronic pain, exhaustion, fatigue and workouts. It helps regulate the production of white blood cells that boost immune function while fighting inflammation and calming swelling to alleviate chronic pain.

Let Kansas City’s expert in weight loss and body balancing help you reach your weight loss and other health goals as you experience the incredible results of ridding your body of inflammation.

Sabrina’s Testimonial
“I am a nurse and the 42-year-old mother of six kids, For the last several years I have had a sedentary lifestyle after a work injury that left me unable to exercise or work in a hospital any longer. Now at a desk job and sitting eight to ten hours a day, the weight started to slowly pile on, my highest weight being 184 lbs. I became so uncomfortable in my own skin. I was tired, depressed and everything hurt. My joints were so inflamed, and my spirit was as broken as my body. I had a friend who had successfully completed the MaxLife program who said, “I promise it works.” So I scheduled what my family now refers to as the beginning of my new life. I have lost 35 lbs. My metabolic age was 69; it is now 37 and my hair is growing. I have never had fingernails, but now my nails are so long and strong. I no longer have to take thyroid medicine; I have so much energy, and all of my inflammation is gone. I am happy and I have never been so healthy. The staff is amazing, and supportive. They are constantly being my personal cheerleaders. The fact that everything is GMO free, vegan, and all-natural is amazing, no pre-packaged foods. This is a life-changing program, and it is so easy to follow and adhere to. This program is worth every penny, and the biggest lesson I have learned is your body is a temple, not a trash can; you do not put trash in your temple, so don’t put it in your mouth. Don’t tell them I am never leaving; even when I reach my goal in 11 more pounds. I am staying. Thank you MaxLife, for not only giving back my figure but my life and my confidence.”
