Premier Custom Care: A More Personalized Approach to In-Home Care

By  0 Comments

Continuing to live safely at home can be a challenge for aging adults or those with disabilities. There are different solutions that can help, depending on a family’s situation and needs. But most solutions provide care for everyone the same way, even though each person has different needs. Why?

Premier Custom Care began with this premise: all aspects of our care plans, from day-to-day activities and schedules to meal plans, medical support and even each family’s team of caregivers, are built around the client’s situation and needs and what will best help them live at home safely. We discuss with new clients that even though someone is going through the same diagnosis, rehabilitation or illness, they experience it differently and therefore need customized care. We often work with families battling Parkinson’s, different types of dementia, cancer and other illnesses. Many of these patients see the same doctors and are on the same prescription regimen, yet daily challenges differ.

Our caregiving services are designed to help families address specific challenges, whether it’s an exercise program, eating better, timely medication reminders or better personal care. Ideally, we want to impact our families to have the best quality of life. We even partner with additional local options through communities, support groups, hospice or palliative care so we can refer our families to the next level of care when life needs change.

It is an honor to work in a family’s home. We take special care to be respectful of your family’s space and belongings and carefully choose the best-suited caregiver or team for your needs. We never “fill shifts.” Our caregivers go through an intense vetting process; it is so important to us that we choose the right people and that this is more than a just a job to them.

Typically, our families and caregivers start part time with us to see if they like the service we provide, and most then stay on with us for years. Many of our clients begin with short visits, 15 and 20 hours a week, then build from this base when they immediately see the quality and value of our services and our caregivers.

We take our pledge of commitment to providing the most thoughtful, careful, and professional in-home care seriously.
