Kaitlin Olson and Frank Reno met through mutual friends five years ago and hit it off quickly; now they’re Mr. and Mrs. Reno! “I went to college with one of his good friends, who now is my best friend,” Kaitlin shares. “We met at Oktoberfest, immediately liked each other, and started dating shortly after.”

Frank revealed his romantic personality with his sweet proposal to Kaitlin. “He surprised me with a horse-drawn carriage in historic Golden, Colorado, on New Year’s Eve,” she smiles. “He proposed on the carriage.  After I said yes, we met with friends to ring in the New Year and celebrate!”

The blissful couple tied the knot on March 28, 2015, in a double ring ceremony at the Oxford Hotel in downtown Denver. Attending Kaitlin as Maid of Honor was Kirsten Olson; bridesmaids were Katie Tate, Brittany Singleton and Crystal Ternes. Frank’s Best Man was Cory Singleton; groomsmen were Kenton Olson, Tyson Osborne, Ruffin Tan and Dan Andrykowski.

The bride was stunning in a strapless gown embellished with pearls and crystals; she carried a hand-tied bouquet of blush roses, white tulips, white hydrangea blossoms, bells of Ireland and fern accents. The silver gowns of the bridesmaids were a beautiful backdrop for their bouquets of hot pink, orange and cream peonies that coordinated with the groomsmen’s boutonnieres.

“We loved the Oxford Hotel,” Kaitlin notes. “It’s a historic building that has a great Art Deco feel in a downtown setting. Our colors were gray and gold, and the tables with silver cloths, white chair covers tied with silver bows and the bright flower arrangements on the tables were elegant. We even had a caricature artist as our wedding favor!”

Kaitlin and Frank spent their honeymoon cruising Alaska, where they went dog sledding, kayaked and enjoyed the scenery from the boat. HLM
