Kris and Scott Terry

Kris and Scott Terry of Raymore, Missouri, worked at the same company for several years, and their paths crossed professionally from time to time.

“Finally, early in 2016, a connection sparked,” Kris smiles. “That turned into a ‘brief’ drink at a local bar lasting a mere six hours. And the rest, as they say, is history.”

Kris and Scott love camping and being outdoors. In March 2017, they loaded up the camper and took a road trip to Big Bend National Park. “It was the first stop of our National Parks tour,” she relates. “He proposed to me at sunset with the most incredible view from the Window, a beautiful part of the park where the bases of two mountains collide.”

The blissful couple tied the knot January 6, 2018, in a weekend wedding celebration at Big Cedar Lodge in Branson, Missouri. “My sister was the Maid of Honor and my best friend for 18 years was my bridesmaid. Scott’s son was his Best Man and a childhood friend was his groomsman,” Kris describes the intimate ceremony. “His best friend was ordained to marry us, making the day even more spectacular.”

The scenery and views from the Garden Chapel and the reception venue added to the ambiance. “The staff brought our vision to life, and everyone raved about the food. The incredible service and attention to each and every detail put our day over the top,” they agree.

Kris’s family has spent many vacations in South Florida, so the couple spent 12 days honeymooning on the beach in a beautiful location they love. ■
