Crystal and Tyrel Ramage

Tied the Knot: November 3, 2018

When Crystal and Tyrel Ramage met through cyberspace, Tyrel seemed to have a real purpose.

“I’m pretty sure I went on 25 first dates in a three-month period,” Crystal laughs. “He went on three.”

Ty simply says, “I outkicked my coverage.”

Crystal, 33, has a bachelor of arts in art history. Ty, 34, has a mechanical background with certifications in machining. The couple currently live in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

“Ty proposed at the Nelson, one of my favorite places to visit,” Crystal describes. “We were walking through the gardens and he asked what time it was. When I looked at my phone to tell him, I had a text from his sister saying, ‘Look at this video I found of Ty and Ant-Man online.’ Paul Rudd had been a keynote speaker at a convention Ty went to the previous month. I opened the video thinking it was going to be something from the conference; instead, it was Ty asking me to marry him with Paul Rudd shouting that I had to say yes! When I looked up, there was Ty on one knee with a ring in his hand. Obviously, I said ‘Yes!’”

Crystal and Ty tied the knot November 3, 2018, in an intimate, stress-free pop-up wedding. “I was looking for a wedding package when I found Kate and Just Say I Do. This was a great compromise for us; my husband wanted a full wedding but I wanted a courthouse wedding. Kate and her team did all the planning for our rustic-themed wedding, all we had to do was showup! The menu was burnt end mac & cheese shooters, barbecue sliders, smoked wings, veggie shooters, barbecue nachos, watermelon pops and sausage pastry cups. The wedding favors were local jams and jellies including pineapple habanero, raspberry, apple pie and pumpkin pie.”

Crystal and Ty made a classic arrival at the Alexander Majors Barn for their wedding in a 1954 Bentley, and after the festivities they made their departure in the same beautiful vehicle.
