Just Sayin’

By  0 Comments

This year has been a crazy one, that’s for sure.

But I do believe with all of my heart that for every bad thing in life, there’s a good thing to follow. Sometimes, it’s just lessons learned. That’s definitely the case for me at this point.

This holiday season, I truly realize and appreciate the importance of family. I grew up in Maryland and my whole crew is there. I haven’t seen them all year. I miss my mom and dad.

I’ve never been a super materialistic person, but more than ever I recognize the unimportance of “stuff.” If we are surrounded by the ones we love and we have our good health, we really do have all we need.

Our tree went up at the beginning of November. We may not take it down. Ever. HA! It makes me happy and makes this wild time a little more bearable. May all of us do whatever it takes to survive!

This time last year, who of us could’ve ever imagined the year ahead would look the way it did? The incredible high and excitement of a Super Bowl win, followed by the intense low and insanity of a pandemic are proof that so much in life is entirely out of our control. One thing we CAN control is our response to whatever life throws our way.

So, here’s to a better, brighter 2021 with less-anxious hearts and a positive outlook.
