PawsAbilities: Gifts with a Purpose

By  0 Comments

Are you one of the more than 60 percent of people who claim to be procrastinators when it comes to buying gifts? We prefer to think of you as a more discerning buyer, somebody who wants to be sure their gift is absolutely the right choice!

One way to make sure your present stands out is to buy a gift that makes a difference: PawsAbilities dog treats and other pet-related products! How do these products make a difference? They support job skills training and placement for Kansas City young adults with developmental disabilities!

From peanut butter or grain-free dog treats to KC Chiefs and Royals doggie bandanas and indestructible pull toys crafted from recycled fire hoses, all PawsAbilities products are handmade by program trainees who are preparing for paid jobs. Their hopes and dreams of living more independently lie in being employed, and your holiday purchases help them attain this goal. At PawsAbilities you will find a commercial bakery, a sewing room and a Paws storefront filled with special products for your favorite pooch. The best part of buying Paws products is that each purchase supports this special program and the hard-working trainees who are gaining important job skills. Every dollar you spend with Paws has an impact!

You can visit our store on Santa Fe in Olathe, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 to 5:30, Friday, 8:30 to 3:00, or at our PawsKC booth at local events. Our online store, pawskc.org, is open 24/7. Your furry friends will receive pet-wagging gifts, and you will know your dollars made a real difference. Happy holidays from all of us at PawsAbilities!
