Selecting the Right HVAC Team

By  0 Comments

Not all heating and cooling companies are the same. Experience, training and service are the keys to look for in an HVAC contractor.

Q. How do I pick a quality provider?
A: There are a lot of great service companies in Kansas City, but there are also some that may not always have your best interest at heart. When choosing a company to take care of your home service needs, here are a few questions to ask:

•  Do all of your employees have background checks?
•  Do you pull permits on your jobs?
•  Will I know the cost of the job before you begin any work?
•  What happens if there’s a problem during or after the job?

Q. What is the benefit of hiring a larger, established company versus hiring a handyman?
A. Sometimes you may just need a simple repair, but HVAC systems can be complicated. If you don’t have a trained professional working on it, it could lead to problems down the road. Established companies often have continuous technician training, experts to troubleshoot problems, standard billing practices and an established protocol for quality customer service. Doing a little research on the front end will give you peace of mind about the company you choose. ■
