Leslie and Chris Miranda

By  0 Comments

Leslie Gerard Miranda attended school and worked in fashion marketing in the Los Angeles area for seven years before returning to Lodi to be closer to her family. Within a month, she had met the love of her life, Chris, and was on the way to a solid relationship with him.

Christopher Joshua Miranda was born and raised in Linden, and completed courses at Delta College before starting his career with Knife River. Chris is a dedicated father and San Francisco Giants fan.

Leslie and Chris met by chance in downtown Lodi. “We spent the evening laughing and talking about the Giants,” Leslie smiles. “We went on our first date three days later and spent most of our time together after that first date. We both knew very quickly that we had found something special.”

Chris truly surprised Leslie with his proposal. “I got home from work one evening and Chris was acting strange,” she remembers. “When I walked into our bedroom later on, he was on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him. Naturally, I said ‘Yes!’”

The blissful couple tied the knot on September 14, 2013. Bridal attendants were Staci Sakai, Marlise Soto, Chelsy Bell and Melissa Massa; groomsmen were Gabe Chavez, Art Miranda, Sonny Aguilera and Matt Orosco. Maci Massa, the bride’s niece, was flower girl, and Christopher Miranda Jr., son of the groom, was the ring bearer.

The wedding day dawned bright and clear, and Woodbridge Golf and Country Club was sparkling and beautiful. “We could not have asked for more perfect weather and venue for our day,” shares Leslie. “We were surrounded by family and friends and live music that trickled through the air making everything come alive. Guests enjoyed cocktails prior to the ceremony, which was led by Lori Harmon of Van Nuys, California, one of my best friends. After the ceremony, our guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner and dancing all evening. It was a joyous night for all of us!”

“Chris and I spent the week following our wedding in Incline Village, Lake Tahoe,” Leslie shares. We relaxed lakeside, went on a few hikes and just enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of Tahoe. On the last evening of our honeymoon, we were watching the Giants game and began talking to a fellow viewer. The man ended up putting us up in a hotel in Truckee for an additional night and dinner at Moody’s. Needless to say, we were on cloud nine, and, after all was said and done, we learned he was from Woodbridge! It was a gift we will never forget, and we hope to one day pay it forward!”
