Gabriella and Eric Miller

Tied the Knot: September 28, 2019

Born and raised in Lodi, Gabriela Miller works as a quality engineer for Workday, a tech company in Pleasanton, California. Her hobbies include wine and beer tasting, exploring Northern California, cooking and baking,

Eric Miller, born and raised in Pleasanton, works as an inspections manager for Pacific Signaling Services, a fire security and safety company in Pleasanton. He enjoys working out, sports, golf, breweries and exploring Northern California.

Gabriela moved to Pleasanton from Orange County for work in January 2017 and to be closer to family. “I was nervous to be moving to a town of mostly families and I wasn’t sure what the dating pool would be like,” she laughs. “Two weeks later I met Eric! I almost cancelled the date because there was a storm outside but I am so glad I didn’t. Eric and I knew pretty quickly that our relationship was different and we bonded over our same family values and just genuinely enjoyed being together. As we like to put it, we both let each other be who we are.”

Eric proposed at a winery in Livermore on Gabriela’s birthday. “It was just shy of our two-year anniversary,” she shares. “It was raining as hard as it had on our first date. Luckily, Eric had an umbrella. It was the best birthday ever!”

The blissful couple tied the knot September 28, 2019. Attending as Maid of Honor was Lindsay Grable; Kyle Miller was Best Man. “It was amazing to be able to be married in Lodi, since it’s my hometown and my family has had a business, Del Castillo Foods, Inc., here for years. The Mettler family was amazing to work with and Mettler Family Vineyards was the perfect setting.

“Our favorite parts of the day included our first look, which alleviated any nerves, and being able to see our family and friends enjoy celebrating our love and all the details of the big day! The wedding was also to celebrate how important marriage is to our families as well. Our parents have been married for 35 and 44 years each and both sets of my grandparents are still married, one set for 63 years! We are so grateful to have their example as we begin our marriage and family. My paternal grandpa was also able to pray for us during the ceremony, which was so special. For the big day we loved being able to have an outdoor venue in the vineyards and enjoy September at its finest. Being able to incorporate personal details such as signage in Spanish, blue details, the groom’s favorite color, our football teams and unique Spanish food such as churros and paella made it all the more fun. Weddings should be unique to every couple and we were so grateful to have a romantic wedding and fun party.”

Gabriela and Eric honeymooned with a week of relaxation and sun in Maui, Hawaii.
